Business Plan & Strategy Capstone

Sep 24, 2025 - Nov 27, 2025

Partner with CBU students as they complete their Capstone Project in business strategy, marketing research, and decision-making skills. During these capstone projects, students can research industries and markets, analyze competitors, and diagnose business problems to identify practical solutions. From there, they’ll build comprehensive business plans, including strategy, operations, funding considerations, and implementation steps. Along the way, you’ll meet with students to shape the scope, provide feedback, and ensure alignment. By the end of the project, you’ll receive a written business plan, a strategic analysis, and a final presentation of recommendations, giving your organisation fresh insights and actionable strategies while helping students apply their learning in a meaningful way.

Business Competitive Strategies

MGMT 4605

Feb 1, 2023 - Apr 5, 2023

The students will work on a strategic business unit and/or a new product idea in a company. They will use industry standard methods to conduct in-depth analysis of the business environment and develop strategies. The strategies can be related to the development of generic business strategies, strategies for international/domestic expansion, corporate level strategies, strategies about managing innovation, strategies about ethics and social responsibility, among others. The project is flexible and may include the needs of the company regarding strategy. Related business areas outside the area of this course/expertise of the supervisor may also be considered given the company has resources to guide such a project and the students have the interest in it.

Experience feedback
It was a pleasure working with Dr. Eappen and his students. This partnership was well planned, executed, and completed. All students were hardworking, eager to learn, and consistently demonstrated strong communication and thoughtfulness throughout this process.  The data and content that went into their final products were detailed, well-organized, and thoughtfully presented. While each student created an individual product, they consistently supported one another and worked collaboratively as a team.  I look forward to working with Dr. Eappen and his students again.
