The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) is a national, nonprofit membership organization working to improve education-to-career pathways for adult learners. We help organizations succeed by providing expertise, resources, and innovative solutions that effectively support adult learners as they navigate on- and off-ramps between education and employment.
This six-year project will be offered across five cities to provide adult learners with access to affordable postsecondary classes, connect more job seekers to higher-wage jobs and long-term career opportunities, and encourage financial services organizations to hire more adult learners and set them up for success. CAEL has selected the Charlotte, NC, Memphis, TN, and South Florida regions as three of five locations to implement this initiative.
Build Better Careers is funded by the Truist Foundation. "Where It Starts" is a Truist Foundation multi-year initiative designed to create real, meaningful change for entrepreneurs and career-seekers in underserved communities. Truist Foundation partners with local and national nonprofits to build new, innovative programs that break down barriers and open doors for growth and success.

Consulting on Web Design, Digital Content, Social Media Posts (Summer 2025)
IDH3035 UHBE 1255
Media and Design students at Florida International university in Miami, Florida are immersed in design thinking, considering the influences of technology and digital design on biological, sociological and psychological processes. Focusing on the primary themes of community, identity, and design, they will create digital artifacts using web and mobile technologies. Some examples could be creating a series of blog posts, social media posts or other such digital products, or reviewing and designing a website. We are working on a 5 week timeline from June 30, 2025 - August 1, 2025, so the deliverables should fit within that timeline. Students will work in groups.
